Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Anything you type into a search tool on this site goes directly to the outside company that runs that search. The provider processes the request and returns the results. We do not keep a copy of those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you write to us, we keep the message so we can answer it. It stays with our team and is not passed to anyone outside the organization unless the law requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each visit to a page on this site produces a small amount of technical information on our servers:
- The internet address assigned to the device you used
- The browser you used and its version number
- The type of device and the operating system behind it
- Which pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
- The site that referred you, when there is one
- A timestamp for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
This site places cookies, which are small files that stay on your device and help show how the site gets used. Analytics services turn that traffic into aggregate numbers, such as which pages draw the most visits and where readers stop scrolling. Your browser settings can block cookies, and some parts of the site may act differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping pages loading quickly and the site available
- Forwarding a search request to the partner service that runs it
- Learning which topics readers find useful and which pages need work
- Finding and fixing technical problems
- Serving advertising that may match visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant records. What it publishes is general guidance about where Nobles County warrant records are held and how to check them through the district court, Court Administration, and the sheriff. Nobles County court records remain with the court, and Minnesota access rules decide who may see them. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing gathered from visitors is assembled into reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes on this site belong to outside companies. A partner's own privacy policy governs anything entered into its tool, including how long it keeps the data and who else sees it. We do not set those practices and cannot change them. Read a partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
This site links out to court pages, sheriff pages, county forms, legal aid organizations, and search tools. Any of those links takes you to a site we do not operate, and that site's privacy policy governs from the moment you arrive. Read it before you share personal details.
Advertising partners may also track activity across sites to target ads. That tracking happens on their systems rather than ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information can reach:
- Search partners that handle the queries you run here
- Analytics services that measure traffic and page performance
- Advertising networks that place ads on the pages
- A government body or law enforcement office when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use ordinary security practices to protect what we collect. No internet service can promise perfect safety, and we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur. We work to keep the data we hold secure and to limit how much we hold in the first place.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Minnesota's data privacy and consumer-protection law, including the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act at Minn. Stat. Ch. 13, may give you rights over information a private or public body holds. For data this site holds, you can:
- Ask to see a copy of what we hold about you
- Ask us to correct something that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to certain kinds of processing
